Five people were killed and one woman injured in Ukrainian southern city of Mykolaiv as a result of a Russian drone attack, Governor Vitalii Kim said on Telegram early on Monday.

Fires in two buildings have been extinguished and several residential buildings have been damaged, Kim said, adding that five Russian drones were shot down in the Mykolaiv area.

In the south-eastern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhya, one person was killed in Russian bombing raids, the military governor of the region, Ivan Fedorov, said on his Telegram channel.

Another 21 people were injured.

A total of at least three glide bombs hit the city, he said.

Ukraine has been battling a full-scale Russian invasion since February 2022.
