The Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi has disowned Facebook accounts which he alleged impersonators use to defraud the public.

Umahi said this in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Chief Uchenna Orji, on Tuesday in Abakaliki.

He said Facebook accounts were: “Sen. David Nweze Umahi, Sen. David Umahi and Sen. Nweze David Umahi”.

“These Facebook accounts are from fraudsters and unscrupulous individuals who are scamming unsuspecting members of the public.

“None of these accounts belongs to the Honourable Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi.”

He urged the public to disregard any communication from the suspected scammers.

“Such are intentional deceptions aimed at manipulating their victims,” he said.
