Her appointment comes at a pivotal time for Nigerian badminton, which has witnessed remarkable growth at the grassroots, national and international levels.

The Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Bukola Olopade in a statement on Thursday hailed Chisalam’s appointment and tasked the BFN to lift the sport to greater heights.

Speaking on her appointment, BFN President, Francis Orbih emphasised the importance of having a COO who shares the federation’s vision.

“Chisalam is highly competent, a sports scientist, with a master’s degree in sports management and understands the physiology of the sports ecosystem.

Her appointment will be instrumental in driving the growth of badminton in Nigeria,” Orbih said.
