Dr David Oyedepo, the Chancellor, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun, says the institution is committed to producing world changers that will restore the battered image of the black race.

Oyedepo made the assertion while speaking with our reporter on Thursday in Ota, Ogun.

The chancellor reiterated the commitment of the university to raising a new generation of leaders through qualitative education to restore Africa’s lost glory.

According to him, the institution will inculcate discipline, spirituality, capacity building, integrity, responsibility, among others into its products to enable them perform excellently well globally.

“In addition, the university’s entrepreneurial development studies and leadership development empower its students for meaningful and impactful life,” he said.

Oyedepo explained further that the entrepreneurial development studies trained students to devise legitimate means for making a living “rather than a Yahoo Yahoo lifestyle”.

He said that the institution focused on equipping the students, so that they could continue to generate impact in their various locations in life and without prejudice to the pursuit of academic excellence.
