IGP inaugurates ultra-modern police headquarters complex in Adamawa Thursday

The Inspector General (I-G) of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, will on Thursday, inaugurate the ultra-modern Police Headquarters complex in Yola.

This is contained in a statement on Wednesday, by SP Suleiman Nguroje, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Adamawa Command.

Nguruje said that in view of the visit, the state Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, has cautioned officers deployed for the special occasion to be professional and public friendly.

The PPRO quoted Dankombo as saying that, this is to create an enabling environment and ensure peaceful inauguration ceremony by the IGP.

”On the strength of that, the CP has directed the DCP Department of Operations, and Area Commanders, Yola and Karewa to Coordinate the Security deployment at all key locations where the Nation’s number one police officer, dignitaries and VIPs will be hosted.

‘The Commanding Officer 14 Police Mobile Force, will lead the armed men drawn from the tactical teams including Special protection units, Counter terrorism units, among others to position themselves at all the entry and exit roads.”

According to him, traffic control officers will be led by the officer in charge of Central Motor Traffic Division (CMTD) to ensure free flow of traffic.

He added, that the Anti Bomb Squad and Crowd control officers, have been deployed to scan, coordinate and secure the places of interest to prevent any security threats and deal with emergency situations.
