A Badagry Chief Magistrates’Court in Lagos State, on Friday, ordered remand of a 24-year-old man, Abdullahi Musa, who pleaded guilty to stealing a cow worth N600,000.

The police had charged Musa, whose address is unknown, with stealing and he admitted guilt.

The Chief Magistrate, Lazarus Hotepo, ordered that Musa should be kept at the Awarjigor custodial facility pending review of the facts of the case and sentencing.

He adjourned the case until May 8 for the review.

Earlier, the prosecution, Insp Ayodele Adeosun, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on April 15 at 5.00.p.m. at Kweme Bush in Badagry.

Adeosun said that the defendant stole one cow worth N600,000 from one Mr Taiwo Azonadu, the complainant.

He noted that stealing contravened Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State.
