Lifegate Humanitarian Foundation Offers Free Medical Service To Over 2, 000 Ogun Residents

Over 2,000 residents of Ogun State have benefited from the free medical outreach organised by a Non- Governmental Organisation, Lifegate humanitarian foundation. The 2days medical outreach which took place  at trade fair, Landerin, Abeokuta, Ogun State had in attendance certified doctors and nurses.

The beneficiaries came with cases such as high/low blood pressure, malaria, diabetes, eye problems etc. The Doctors and Nurses provided essential medical services after diagnosing the beneficiaries. Speaking with journalists, the country director of Lifegate humanitarian foundation, Hon. Olawale Shodeinde said the outreach was aimed at providing essential healthcare services to people who can not afford medical treatment.

He added that the outreach covered services such as medical consultation, health screening,  hypertension education,  health talks, blood tests and provision of free medications to the beneficiaries. The Country Director reiterated the foundation’s dedication to positively impacting lives. He commended the smooth conduct of the program and emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing health care services.

“We remain committed to enhancing the quality of life for the people of Ogun State and beyond “Today’s outreach is a testament to the foundation’s dedication to providing essential healthcare services and fostering a healthier, more resilient community, within the 2-day program, we have attended to over 2000 people across the state and you can see we have certified doctors and nurses here that have attended to the beneficiaries and have given them essential medical services”  He concluded

Also a volunteer Doctor at the event, Dr. Owolaja Adekunle Oluseun said there was a large turn out within the 2-day program, commending the foundation for its commitment in giving the people healthcare services.
He said that they have been able to attend to people who came with different ailments, saying that they  diagnosed them and councelled them on how to take care of their health.

Doctor Owolaja submitted that the initiative is more than money, adding that whoever gives health gives life.
He said ” This is the second day of humanitarian health services that was rendered to the people and all the indigenes of Abeokuta and since yesterday we have had a large turn out same thing today, people came with different ailments and we have attended to all of them with different ailments, such as diabetes,  hypertension, ulcer, malaria, eye problems amongst others after diagnosing them we councelled them about healthy living and we also gave them drugs.

They all appreciated it and prayed for the foundation. He concluded. Some of  the beneficiaries who spoke with our correspondent applauded the convener of the foundation for the free health medical outreach which they described as timely.

They therefore appreciated Lifegate humanitarian foundation for bringing the  initiative to the community, saying that there are many people that can not  afford medication to manage their high blood pressure but with the free screening, they are able to get free drugs.
