The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has praised Nigerian workers for their sacrifice, resilience, and dedication to the growth of the nation’s economy.

In a goodwill message delivered in Ikeja on Thursday to mark the 2025 Workers’ Day celebration, Obasa described Nigerian workers as the “wheels of progress” of the country’s economy.

According to him, the Nigerian workforce is passionate, resilient, goal-oriented, and willing to deliver their best when provided with the right working environment and fair remuneration.

“We truly need to congratulate workers in Nigeria for their passion to see that the country is a better place,” he said.

“The daily role played by each worker contributes meaningfully to the progress of the country.”

Obasa also acknowledged the efforts of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in improving workers’ welfare and creating a more conducive environment for productivity.

He urged workers to renew their hope in the nation and align their efforts with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Tinubu’s administration, particularly as the president marks two years in office.

“This is our country, and we must not relent in recreating a Nigeria of our collective dreams.

“I encourage workers to key into the policies and activities of the government to help achieve this vision,” Obasa added.

He also extended his appreciation to the staff of the Lagos State House of Assembly for their dedication and efficiency, pledging to continue prioritising their welfare and professional development.
