Anyigor noted that Enyiekere was the first Southern Nigerian to become the Head of the Commission since its creation on June 19, 2001.

He revealed that the commissioners who reported to duty alongside the chairman include Mr Hanmation Tersoo and Mr Salisu Agboola-Balogun (North-Central).

Others he said were Alhaji Lawan Mahmud and Aminu Malle (North-East); Sen. Suleiman Hunkuyi and Yusuf Tabuka (North-West), Festus Ifesinachi Odii (South-East), Mary Ekpenyong and Mr Patrick Giwa (South-South), Mrs Taiwo Oluga and Ipesa-Balogun, Afeez (South-West).

He added that the Secretary to the Commission, Mr Lucky Ikharo, while presenting the handover documents to the new NASC boss, pledged total commitment of the new management towards effective performance of the Commission’s assignment.

He quoted the new NASC boss as pledging that his leadership would improve the welfare of the workers.

“I thank President Tinubu, Senate President, Godswill Akpabio and the leadership of the National Assembly for giving us the opportunity to serve.

“I pledge that we will lead the Service towards achieving the legislative mandate of government,” Enyiekere said.
