Mutfwang is making Plateau proud, says group

A group, Plateau Citizens of Good Conscience (PCGC), says that Gov. Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau is making the state proud through his visionary leadership and various developmental strides.

Mr David Obadiah, Spokesman of the group said this during a news conference on Sunday in Jos.

Obadiah was reacting to a claim by a group that the governor had done nothing in the last two years of his administration.

The group also accused the governor of wasting Plateau’s resources on frivolous foreign trips and other jamborees.

But Obadiah said that the Mutfwang-led administration had in the last two years placed Plateau on the path of steady growth and development.

He insisted that the governor’s two years in office was marked by massive and remarkable infrastructural development in critical sectors.

“At this critical juncture in our state’s political journey, we feel compelled to address an alarming wave of misinformation being peddled by certain elements within the opposition.

“We do so in defense of the remarkable progress being made under the transformational leadership of Gov. Caleb Mutfwang.

“His administration in the last two years has been defined by resilience, purposeful development, and people-centred policies.

“So, we make bold to say that the governor is not only moving Plateau foward, he is also making the citizens proud,”he said.

The spokesperson added that the governor had recorded tremendous achievements in critical sectors like health, education, road construction and affordable transport system.

Obadiah, who said that PCGC is non-partisan, insisted that the governor had put measures in place to tackle insecurity, boost agriculture and other critical infrastructure.

“So, we call on all Plateau citizens to remain focused and not be distracted by desperate propagandists, because the journey of rebuilding Plateau is ongoing.

“The governor is committed to delivering more transformational results; his leadership is not only visible, it is visionary.

“We stand with him and urge the people of goodwill to continue to support this government of purpose, integrity and progress.

“Plateau under Mutfwang is rising steadily, boldly, and irreversibly; no falsehood, smear campaign and desperate ploy can reverse the tide of progress in Plateau,”Obadiah said.
