The Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, has urged the youth to prioritise exercising their civic responsibilities during the local government elections on July 12.

Ojelabi made this appeal at the APC Lagos West II Senatorial District Mega Campaign Rally held at Ijanikin, Lagos, on Monday.

It was reported that the rally is tagged: “One Voice, One Vision, One Victory”.

“The day is crucial for the future of Lagos State,” he said.

Ojelabi urged the youth to focus on voting rather than engaging in leisure activities.

“July 12 is a special day, it is not a day for the youth to be playing football but a day to exercise their civic responsibilities,” he said.

The APC Chairman said that the youth should show appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for their developmental projects by voting for the party’s candidates to complement their good work.

He urged them to reward the party’s performance with massive votes in the forthcoming council polls.

He called on the youth in the Lagos West II Senatorial District to come out in large numbers to vote for the party’s candidates in the upcoming local government elections.

“I urge the youth to mobilise support for the party.

“We need your votes to get our candidates into power.

“I encourage you to take an active part in determining the leadership of your local government areas,” he said.

Ojelabi promised rewards for party loyalty, highlighting the party’s achievements in infrastructure development, education, and healthcare.

It was reported that the event was attended by APC chieftains including members of GAC, national and state assembly members and state executive council members.

Others are APC’s state, local and ward executive committee, market associations, transport unions, ethnic groups, party loyalists among others.
