Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro, former Minister of State for Defence, said 7 million registered voters in Lagos signals a potential 2027 victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Obanikoro made the statement at the APC Lagos West II Senatorial District Mega Campaign Rally held in Ijanikin, Lagos.

It was reported the rally was under the theme: ‘One Voice, One Vision, One Victory.

According to the APC chieftain, the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission confirmed there are 7 million registered voters in the state.

“That’s a huge number. It presents a great opportunity for our party here in Lagos.

“If we can secure at least 6.5 million votes in this election, we’ll send a strong national signal for 2027,” he said.

He added that the APC would reclaim the presidency for President Bola Tinubu in the next general elections.

“This upcoming local government election is crucial. We must win it.

“I urge every member to return to their wards and councils to campaign vigorously for the party.

“We believe in your strength and ability to deliver results at the grassroots level,” he said.

It was reported the rally drew top APC figures, including GAC members, legislators, and state executive council members.

Also in attendance were party officials from state to ward level, market leaders, transport unions, ethnic groups, and loyal supporters.
