Edo governorship election: Supreme Court dismisses Ighodalo, PDP’s case against Gov. Obekpolo

The Supreme Court on Thursday dismissed the appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate, Asue Ighodalo, over the outcome of the Sept. 21, 2024, governorship election in Edo.

Our correspondent reports that the appeal challenges the result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, which announced Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of that election.
