Bakare to Buhari, pay more attention to education, human capital development

Pastor Tunde Bakare, the Presiding Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, on Sunday emphasised the need to prepare Nigerian youths for leadership.

Bakare said on Sunday that the youth should not take the backseat in socio-economic and religious activities but should make themselves available for grooming for leadership roles.

The cleric, who gave exhortation in the church in Ikeja, said that the youth represented sustainability.

He said that the church would dedicate the entire August to groom the youth on good leadership through its annual youth programme.

According to Bakare, the event would feature concerts and other youth-oriented programmes as well as sermons to be preached by the youth.

“I will not preach unless invited to do so. The youth will spearhead every aspect of the church’s activities during the event,” he said.
