Guiness Nigeria posts N16.2bn profit in first half

Guiness Nigeria Plc has reported a profit of N16.2 billion in the first half of the year.

This is a recovery from a loss of N54.77 billion generated in the first half of 2024.

Thie company disclosed this in its unaudited financial report for the first half of 2025, sent to the Nigerian Exchange Ltd. on Thursday.

Also, the company’s revenue increased from N299.49 billion in first half of 2024 to N496.61 billion in same period of 2025, reflecting a 65.82 per cent increase.

Its total assets witnessed a 20.96 per cent growth from N226.13 billion in first half of 2024 to N273.51 billion in correspoding period of 2025.

The earnings per share grew from 2,500 kobo loss to a gain of 740 kobo.

Cost of sales rose to N348.22 billion in the first half of 2025 from N208.03 billion in the same period of 2024.

Gross profit also soared by 62.25 per cent to N148.39 billion up from N91.46 billion.
