Ojulari appears in office amidst resignation controversy

Published

on

Mr Bayo Ojulari, the Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) reportedly resumed work on Monday, amidst the controversy surrounding his resignation.

Our correspondent reports that Ojulari also featured virtually in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) event in Lagos, where he reaffirmed his commitment to his duty in spite of resignation speculations.

Sources at the NNPC Ltd. confirmed to NAN that Ojulari reported to the office on Monday at his usual time and also left to attend key national events.

Reports emerged over the weekend from different quarters that the NNPC GCEO had been coerced into signing a resignation letter during an alleged operation involving some security agencies.

Our correspondent reports that in spite of the allegations, Ojulari’s appearance in office on Monday and his virtual participation in the SPE event where he delivered a keynote address, may have put an end to the allegations.

Ojulari was appointed on April 2, 2025, by President Bola Tinubu, as part of a sweeping overhaul of the company’s board and management.
