Appointments: We always place merit, excellence above primordial sentiments, bigotry – Makinde
Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, on Tuesday said that his administration has always placed merit and excellence above sentiments and bigotry in its appointments.
Makinde said this while inaugurating members of the Oyo State Judicial Service Commission in the executive chamber of his office at the state secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
He maintained that his government would continue to appoint people that could support and add value to the state, “irrespective of their political affiliations or state of origin.
“Wherever we can find any talent that can add value to us as a state, I will go for such a person.”
The governor charged all the inaugurated members of the commission to contribute their quota to the development of the state through their service.
Our correspondent reports that the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Justice Iyabo Yerima, is the Chairman of the commission, while Mrs M.O Abdulganiyu is the Secretary.
Other members of the commission include the State Attorney-General/Commissioner for Justice, Mr Abiodun Aikomo; Mr Musibau Adetunji, Chief Joshua Abioye, Chief Moyosore Ajani and Mr Wahab
