The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has begun a door-to-door mobilisation to encourage eligible residents participate actively in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).

The state’s APC Publicity Secretary, Mr Seye Oladejo, disclosed the development in a statement in Lagos on Monday.

Oladejo explained that the mobilisation was in line with the party’s commitment to deepening democratic participation and consolidating its grassroots strength.

He added that the Lagos APC had directed all ward and local government leaders to immediately begin community-level mobilisation.

Oladejo said this was not just a party affair but it was about the future of the democracy.

According to him, this is to ensure every eligible voter especially first-time registrants, youths, and those who have relocated are captured in the current voter registration exercise.

He said: “The state LGA chairmen and party structures have been activated to conduct door-to-door campaigns and organise community sensitisation sessions.

“The party has also launched a targeted digital campaign to reach young and tech-savvy voters through social media platforms and digital forums.

“In selecting LGAs, logistics support is being provided to assist voters especially the elderly and people in riverine or hard-to-reach areas to access designated INEC registration centres.

“Elected officials, political appointees, and community leaders are playing a central role in the mobilisation drive, reinforcing the importance of voter registration as a civic responsibility and a tool for political empowerment.”

Oladejo said the party emphasised that securing a Permanent Voter Card was the first step toward sustaining the progress made in the state and ensuring the continuity of good governance.

He, therefore, called on all party members, supporters, and the general public to take advantage of the CVR window and get registered.

Oladejo said every vote counts, and every voice matters, adding that there is need to empower all eligible to participate fully in the democratic process.
