Kogi Govt. pledges support for agriculture development
The Kogi Government says it will continue to promote agriculture to drive food security and youth employment in the state.
The Deputy Governor, Mr Joel Salifu, said this while receiving the management of Agrovest Reality TV Show (ARTS) on Monday in Lokoja.
Salifu also said that the state government would support and collaborate with ARTS on its agriculture television show.
The deputy governor said that he would facilitate the request of the ARTS management on partnership to Gov. Usman Ododo for approval and collaboration.
Earlier, the Group Executive Officer of ARTS, Mr Emmanuel Abuhson, said that the organisation was designed to spotlight and support youths and women in agriculture.
According to Abuhson, the initiative seeks to partner with the government in empowering young entrepreneurs and women in the state by showcasing their creativity and enterprise in agro-industries.
He said that the programme would provide participants with national visibility, mentorship, funding opportunities, and access to strategic partnerships.
