Mr Samuel Imole, 19, a farm attendant, on Tuesday pleaded guilty to stealing his employer’s fish worth N1 million before the Iyaganku Magistrates Court, Ibadan.

Imole was charged with conspiracy and stealing.

The Prosecutor, Insp Femi Omilana told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Sept. 20, at about 3:44 p.m., at Lawoyin Village, Ibadan.

Omilana said the defendant conspired with others at large to steal the fish from the pond of his employer, Mrs Bolanle Ambali.

The Prosecutor said Imole stole the fish barely four days after he was employed.

He said the defendant committed an offence contrary to Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

The Magistrate, Mrs Adebola Adeola, therefore adjourned the case until Oct. 3, for review of facts and subsequent judgment.
