Adams Oshiomhole (APC-Edo) has donated nine block of classrooms to the Oza Comprehensive High School, Ojah in Akoko Edo Local Government Area of Edo.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the lawmaker representing Edo-North Senatorial District inaugurated the multi-million naira project on Tuesday.

Oshiomhole in his remarks while inaugurating the project said it was in fulfilment of his election campaign to the people of the community.

“As a former governor, Ojah was one of the community that did not get red roof, and when I came to campaign here in 2023, I promised to build classrooms in this community.

“Today we are inaugurating the school for the comfort of the students. We are not only inaugurating classrooms but with offices and good toilets for the teachers and students,” Oshiomhole said.

He urged the students and teachers to use the structure judiciously, while promising to furniture the classrooms and construct borehole in the school premises in the coming week.

In his response, Mr Joseph Uzuamu, Principal of the school, thanked Oshiomhole for the gesture.

He assured that students and teachers of the school would take proper care of the classrooms.

“The three blocks of nine classrooms with office and toilets is to create an enabling environment conducive for students for effective teaching and learning processes.

“Your good past records and present efforts proved that you have great interest in the education of our children.

“We are using this opportunity to appreciate your effort for the good and excellent works you have done for the people of Edo and Ojah community in particular,” Uzuamu said.

The traditional ruler of Ojah, Oba Daniel Lawani and a student, Abigael Daramola lauded the lawmaker for delivering on his campaign promises.

“On behalf of the people of Ojah and the students we want to thank Oshiomhole for remembering the school and people of Ojah community,” they said.
