The APC in Lagos State has commended leaders of the South-West region for the renewed spirit of unity, understanding, and cooperation demonstrated at the recently concluded South-West Stakeholders’ Dialogue.

The APC Spokesman, Mr Seye Oladejo, in a statement on Friday, described the dialogue as a historic convergence of political, traditional, and thought leaders, committed to regional progress and national development.

According to him, the meeting goes beyond politics, symbolising a shared vision for integration, accountability, and sustainable growth in the region.

“This historic convergence once again affirms the South-West’s enduring commitment to progressive ideals, visionary leadership, and collective prosperity,” Oladejo said.

He said the dialogue brought together participants from across political parties, youth groups, and people from the corporate and socio-cultural sectors.

The spokesman added that ministers from South West shared their stewardship reports and outlined a coordinated vision for regional development.

Oladejo commended the courage and foresight displayed by stakeholders.

He noted that their demonstration of unity across party lines and generations was a lesson in leadership maturity and inclusiveness.

“By coming together to deepen cooperation, the leaders of the South-West have once again shown that progress is achievable when unity of purpose replaces division, and when ideas, not egos, drive engagement,” he said.

The spokesman said the renewed cooperation would promote inter-state collaboration and joint solutions to socio-economic challenges facing the region.

Oladejo also urged other geo-political zones in the country to emulate the South-West model by prioritising dialogue, peace, and partnership over antagonism and rivalry.

“True national development can only thrive when all regions recognise that Nigeria’s strength lies in her unity, diversity, and shared aspirations,” he added.

He said Lagos,” as the heartbeat of the South-West and cradle of progressivism,” remained a model of visionary leadership and continuity of purpose through its achievements in infrastructure, education, technology, and healthcare.

Oladejo reaffirmed the State APC commitment to the ideals of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, describing him as a true son of the region “whose legacy of inclusion and competence continues to inspire both the South-West and the nation”.
