Kaduna fully aligned with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda — Sani
Uba Sani of Kaduna State says the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration is not a mere political slogan.
According to him, it is a well structured national rescue plan designed to rebuild Nigeria’s economy and restore citizens’ confidence in governance.
The Governor stated this in Kaduna at the 65th Independence Anniversary Lecture organised by Arewa Think Tank, themed ‘The Journey So Far with the Renewed Hope Agenda in View’.
Sani, who was the chief host at the event, said Kaduna State had embraced both the spirit and substance of the Renewed Hope Agenda, aligning its development priorities with the federal government’s vision for inclusive growth.
He said, “The Renewed Hope Agenda is aimed at restoring macroeconomic balance, stimulating production, creating employment, and lifting millions from poverty.
“It seeks to create the enabling conditions in which enterprise can thrive, capital can find confidence, and every Nigerian , irrespective of place of birth, state of origin, or religious persuasion , can aspire to dignity and prosperity.”
The governor stated that the positive impact of the agenda was gradually being felt across various sectors of the economy and the nation’s socio-political landscape.
According to him, the administration’s policies had triggered renewed momentum in fiscal reforms, security management, educational expansion, and infrastructure renewal.
“Across the North, a quiet renaissance is taking root. Roads and bridges are knitting communities closer, markets are reawakening, and the long neglected rural economy is stirring again,” Sani stated.
He highlighted that in the agricultural sector, regarded as the lifeblood of Northern Nigeria, unprecedented transformation is underway through innovations and federal interventions.
“Farmers now work with solar-powered irrigation systems and mechanised implements. Climate-smart technologies are redefining rural livelihoods, and agribusiness is replacing subsistence farming,” he added.
Sani commended Tinubu’s commitment to empowering subnational governments in agricultural development, describing it as unparalleled in Nigeria’s history.
He also disclosed that his administration has completed several abandoned projects and is on the verge of finishing all inherited ones.
“We are completing abandoned projects not for applause, but to restore faith in governance.
“We are investing in enduring institutions rather than transient monuments,”Sani said.
The governor reiterated that his government was focused on building a state anchored on inclusion, discipline, and accountability.
“We are extending opportunity to those whom fortune has overlooked. Our purpose is clear to make Kaduna a model of pragmatic reform and human centred development within the larger federation,” he said.
Sani assured that Kaduna State would continue to align closely with the Renewed Hope Agenda in order to accelerate progress and promote equity, productivity, and national unity.
