COAS visits Zamfara, urges troops to uplift core values of Army

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu, has charged troops of the Joint Task Force Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY), to remain disciplined and always uplift the core values of the Nigerian Army.

Shaibu gave the charge while addressing the troops during his operational visit to Operation Fansan Yamma (OPFY) Headquarters in Gusau on Thursday.

Our correspondent reports that Shaibu, immediately after his arrival to the state, proceeded to the the Headquarters of the Joint Task Force, Operation (OPFY).

The visit was part of the operational tour embarked by the Army Chief to military formations across the country.

Shaibu commended the soldiers for their resilience and dedication while discharging their duties.

“You presence here must ensure that people should go to their normal businesses.

“You should the job properly. You should remained resolute, determine and always work inline with Nigerian Army’s ethics,” he explained.

The COAS promised to promote the welfare of the troops across the country.

Our correspondent further reports that the Army chief was accompanied on the epochal visit by some senior Military Officers, representatives of the Chief of Air Staff and the Chief of Naval Staff.
