The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has restated its dedication to transparency, professionalism, and strict compliance with statutory guidelines governing its human resource and administrative operations.

In a statement, the Authority emphasized that its recruitment, placement, and career progression processes are anchored on established regulations aimed at ensuring fairness, competence, and efficiency across all staff levels. FAAN noted that it remains committed to upholding due process and will not depart from frameworks that promote merit-based advancement.

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen internal systems, the Managing Director has authorized an additional review of certain employment-related issues recently brought to management’s attention. The exercise is intended to enhance clarity, ensure consistent application of policies, and reinforce confidence in FAAN’s career progression structures. It will also help identify and address gaps where necessary.

The Authority clarified that no employee is ever required to downgrade or conceal their qualifications during recruitment. All hiring procedures are conducted strictly according to advertised roles, associated requirements, and the voluntary submissions of applicants. Any subsequent policy revisions, FAAN added, are managed responsibly and in line with public service standards.

Reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy on workplace misconduct, FAAN stressed that it takes seriously all allegations of harassment, intimidation, or abuse of office. The organization maintains confidential reporting channels and active investigative mechanisms designed to safeguard staff welfare. Any conduct that violates FAAN’s values is subjected to thorough disciplinary review.

FAAN further reiterated its commitment to fostering a professional work culture that rewards integrity, respects organizational hierarchy, and supports career development across all units, including Aviation Security (AVSEC), Aviation Rescue and Firefighting Services (ARFFS), and other essential departments.

Management expressed appreciation for the dedication of its workforce and urged continued cooperation, adherence to due process, and open communication as the Authority advances its drive to deliver world-class airport services.
