The United States has extended warm congratulations to the people of Barbados on the nation’s Independence Day, highlighting the strength of the partnership between Washington and Bridgetown in promoting security and prosperity across the Caribbean.

U.S. officials emphasized the importance of continued collaboration with Barbados on key regional challenges, including efforts to bolster security, disrupt narcotics trafficking networks, and tackle illegal migration. Joint initiatives such as the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative were cited as central to the two countries’ shared mission to counter transnational crime and enhance safety throughout the hemisphere.

Beyond security, the statement pointed to ongoing cooperation in economic development and energy, aimed at creating broader opportunities and sustainable growth for communities in both nations.

Reaffirming the long-standing friendship between the United States and Barbados, the message expressed confidence in the continued strength of the partnership and its role in building a more secure and prosperous region.
