Christmas: Taraba CJ issues vacation notification for high courts

Absence of Judge stalls trial of ex-NIMASA DG

Justice Joel Agya, Chief Judge of Taraba, on Tuesday notified the state high courts of the 2025 Christmas vacation from Wednesday Dec. 24, 2025 to Friday Jan. 2, 2026.

Agya, in a statement in Jalingo, said that the notice was in line with the Taraba State High Court Civil Procedure Rules 2011.

“Whereas it is provided under Order 8 Rule 4 (C) of the Taraba State High Court Civil Procedure Rules 2011, that the civil matters shall be held on every workday, except during the period beginning on Christmas eve and ending on Jan. 2,

“Now, therefore, it is hereby notified for general information that there shall be Christmas vacation of the high courts across the state,” he said.
