We’ll resolve all issues in APC through dialogue – Aiyedatiwa

Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has assured members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state that internal crisis in the party would be resolved through dialogue.

Aiyedatiwa stated this on Monday at Oke-Agbe, headquarters of Akoko North-West Local Government during a statewide thank-you tour of local government areas.

The governor said the visit was not a political campaign but a tour to thank residents for their support for his administration.

“There will be no fight in the party. We will resolve all issues through dialogue, and everyone will be satisfied,” the governor said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the governor visited Akoko North-West, Akoko North-East, Akoko South-East and Akoko South-West.

“I am here to greet you and thank you. Some people say politicians do not return after elections. I have no election now. I only came to appreciate you all for your support,” he said.

Aiyedatiwa said he had promised party leaders during the electioneering that his visit would not be occasional, adding that he would continue to inspect projects and ensure the fulfilment of his campaign promises.

He also said the visit was to convey the party’s decision at both national and state levels that President Bola Tinubu would be the APC’s candidate in the 2027 presidential election.
The governor commended the people of the State for their continued support for APC, noting that the party won in all local government areas in the last governorship election, and now has full control of the State House of Assembly.

He attributed the growing strength of the infrastructural development across the country to the reforms introduced by Tinubu, adding that the impact of the reforms had attracted members from other political parties.

At Akoko North-East Local Government Area, the governor thanked residents for their prayers and support, saying Tinubu’s reforms had opened up economic opportunities for Ondo State.

He cited the ongoing dualisation of the Ikare–Akungba road as evidence of development in the Akoko axis.

Also speaking, the Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, thanked residents and party members for the warm reception accorded the governor.

Our correspondent reports that palliatives were distributed in the local government areas visited as part of the appreciation tour.
