Christmas: APC chairman reassures of brighter future under Tinubu
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has extended Christmas greetings and New Year wishes to Nigerians, expressing confidence in a brighter future for the country.
In a statement issued on Friday by his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy, Mr Abimbola Tooki, the APC Chairman said the festive season offered renewed hope for national unity and progress.
“On behalf of the National Working Committee of our great party, I extend warm Christmas greetings and best wishes for a happy and prosperous New Year to all Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora,” Yilwatda said.
He congratulated APC governors, particularly the Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, as well as members of the National Assembly and party executives at all levels.
The chairman also commended party members nationwide for their loyalty and commitment to democratic governance.
According to him, Christmas remains a season of hope, sacrifice and renewal, offering Nigerians the opportunity to reflect on shared values and collective aspirations.
“Christmas calls on us to renew our faith in the promise of Nigeria and look ahead with optimism and confidence in a brighter future,” he said.
The APC chairman reaffirmed the party’s support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration, noting that the Renewed Hope Agenda remained focused on economic recovery and institutional reforms.
“Under the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the APC-led administration is firmly guided by the Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at economic recovery, social inclusion, national security and sustainable development,” he said.
He acknowledged that the ongoing reforms were demanding, but necessary for long-term national stability and prosperity.
While assuring Nigerians that their sacrifices were not in vain, the chairman said the administration was committed to expanding opportunities and protecting the vulnerable.
“The resilience and sacrifices of Nigerians are recognised and deeply valued.
“The Renewed Hope Agenda is designed to restore confidence and build a nation where progress is shared,” he added.
He urged APC members to remain united and disciplined in supporting the government’s programmes and policies.
“As we celebrate Christmas and prepare for the New Year, let us remain united in purpose and resolute in our determination to build a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria,” he said.
The APC chairman wished Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a peaceful, successful and rewarding New Year in advance.
