Naira opens trading week with N1.54 gain

The Naira on Monday opened the week with further appreciation against the U.S. dollar at the official market trading at N1,429.30.

According to data released on the official website of the Central Bank of Nigeria, the Naira gained N1.54.

This represents a 0.1 per cent gain when compared to Friday, Jan. 2, 2026 when it traded at N1,430.84 to a dollar.

The gain represents sustained appreciation for the Naira.
