Natasha: Private investigator urges police to expedite action on petition

A Private Investigator, Prof. Sandra Duru, has called on the Police to expedite action on her petition against Sen. Natasha Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, in the National Assembly.

The private investigator, based in the US, told newsmen on Friday in Abuja, that there was no need for delay in the investigation of the issues raised in the petition.

She said the petition against the senator alleging murder and human organ harvesting, was submitted to the Inspector-General of Police through the Nigeria Police Force Monitoring Unit since April, 2025.

The petitioner expressed dissatisfaction that no suspect had been charged till date, in spite of what she described as “admissible evidence” already in police custody.

Duru warned that continued delays, vague assurances, and repeated references to “looking into the files” would no longer be acceptable.

“A straightforward criminal matter of this gravity does not require indefinite review.

“If there is no “immediate and transparent action” on or before Jan. 25, I will initiate an organised and strategic response across selected local and international media platforms.

“Relevant domestic and international agencies will also be involved to ensure that justice prevail in the matter,” she said.

When contacted, a reliable source within the Nigeria Police Force said the force had not ignored the petitions, adding that the I-G had earlier directed investigations into all her submissions.

The source said feedback had been received on some aspects of the petitions, including a criminal defamation complaint where a senior police officer was mentioned.

“The Nigeria Police Force, under Egbetokun will not ignore genuine criminal complaints of any citizen.

“Duru’s petitions are being attended to and she will be contacted when necessary, and the outcome made known to her on completion,” the source said.
