Keyamo, lawyers to sensitise air travelers on their right under law

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo (SAN) is set to deliver a keynote address at a one-day workshop for lawyers and air flight passengers, scheduled for March 12.

This is contained in a statement by the workshop Coordinator, Mrs Emmanuella Obi, Synergy Attornies, issued to newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos.

According to her, the workshop put together by the Juweirat Law Resource Centre, in collaboration with Synergy Attornies, is with the theme: Passengers’ Right Under the Law; Ethical Obligations and Strategic Compliance.

Speaking further, she added that Mr Michael Achimugu, Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, was also expected at the event, as one of the speakers.

Obi, a lawyer, noted that the purpose for the workshop was to provide relevant information and legal updates to air travelers.

She added that it was also to enhance consumer awareness and address misconceptions that discouraged members of the public, from patronising air transportation, due to lack of adequate knowledge.

Obi, also an Associate, Institute of Chartered Mediation and Conciliation, (AICMC) said that the hybrid workshop, which also targeted every sector that patronised air travel, would have Mr Abiodun Awonikoko (SAN) Principal Partner, Synergy Attornies, as host.

According to her, the workshop is also expecting Mr Oyin Bashorun (SAN), Principal Partner, Churchfield Solicitors, to speak at the event.
