Group warns Kwankwaso against undermining security, public order in Kano

The Kano Peace Coalition Group, has warned he NNPP National Leader, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, against using social media handlers to undermine security and public order in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by the group’s State Coordinator, Datti Tukur, in Kano on Thursday.

The group alleged that Kwankwaso was manipulating youths groups to create chaos in Kano, citing instances of cyber bullying and character assassination against Gov. Abba Yusuf and others.

The group named individuals involved to include: Abba Ibrahim Hussain, Abdulmajid Danbilki-Kwamanda, Samir Hanga, and Abdullahi Warkal, some of whom had faced security scrutiny.

He said that youths affiliated with the Kwankwasiyya Movement had been using social media to attack prominent political figures, including Yusuf and Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, who disagree with their leader’s political views.

The group cited an instance where the Kwankwasiyya handlers degraded Yusuf’s personality by depicting him in a female attire, wearing makeup.

Tukur named Abba Hussain, aka Aiha, a cyber stalker, allegedly linked to Kwankwaso, as one of those involved.

The coordinator urged Amnesty International to verify claims fairly and professionally before issuing statements, to maintain its credibility.

He emphasised that investigating allegations before publicising them supports efforts to combat cyber bullying and disrespect for authority.

He said Kano was a respected state with people of dignity and integrity, insisting that disrespect towards elders and leaders won’t be tolerated.
