Dikko Radda has reaffirmed that Katsina remains a stronghold of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following successful congress across the state.

The congress, held on Monday, produced new leadership across 361 wards, 34 local government areas and the state executive structure.

Speaking on Wednesday in Katsina, Radda commended delegates for electing leaders through a consensus arrangement endorsed by key stakeholders.

The exercise, widely described as peaceful and orderly, produced Bishir Gambo-Saulawa as State Chairman alongside other State Executive Committee members.

Radda praised the maturity and discipline displayed, noting that the smooth transition from ward to state level underscored party unity and organisational strength.

“This process demonstrates that Katsina APC remains united, organised and committed to democratic principles,” he declared.

He congratulated the Local Organising Committee for effective coordination, stressing that its dedication ensured transparency and credibility throughout the exercise.

Radda described the new leadership’s emergence as a call to greater responsibility, urging consolidation of achievements and stronger political structures across wards and councils.

“Katsina remains an APC state. All elected officials here belong to our great party. We expect unity and sustained progress,” he said.

The governor assured the executive of full cooperation, pledging continued collaboration between his administration and party organs to sustain development.

“As governor and party leader, I will support you fully to ensure success. Together, we will build a stronger and united APC,” he added.

He also commended the Electoral Committee from the APC National Headquarters, alongside the Screening and Appeal Committees and security agencies.

Reaffirming loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, Radda pledged support for Federal Government reforms aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s economy and development.

“Katsina will remain steadfast in supporting the President and Federal Government. We are committed to a stronger party and a prosperous Nigeria,” he stated.

Earlier, Local Organising Committee Chairman and former Deputy Governor, Alhaji Tukur Ahmed Jikamshi, confirmed compliance with the Electoral Act and party constitution.

He said consultations were held with relevant committees from Abuja, and all required materials and candidate lists were duly submitted before commencement.
