Chelle lists Iwobi, Lookman, 20 others for Iran, Jordan friendlies

Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle, has named captain Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and Ademola Lookman among 23 players for the team’s friendlies against Iran and Jordan in Turkey.

Our correspondent reports that the matches, initially scheduled for Amman, were moved to Antalya following the outbreak of military conflict in the Middle East.

A statement issued on Wednesday by Ademola Olajire, NFF’s Director of Communications, said the Super Eagles would face Iran on March 27 in Antalya, at 4 p.m., before taking on Jordan on March 31 at 8 p.m.

He said Chelle also invited Maduka Okoye, Oluwasemilogo Ajayi, Frank Onyeka, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze, Akor Adams and Paul Onuachu.

“Debut call-ups were handed to Emmanuel Fernandez, Philip Otele and Collins Yira Sor, while Adeleye Adebayo returns to the squad,” he added.
