President Bola Tinubu will on Thursday visit Jos, Plateau, ahead of a scheduled four-state tour across the country.

The president is expected to commiserate with the government and people of Plateau over recent gun attacks that claimed the lives of innocent citizens.

The visit follows the postponement of his earlier planned trip to Iperu, Ogun State, where he was to flag off operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport.

This is contained in a statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Wednesday in Abuja.

The visit underscores the administration’s concern over security challenges and its solidarity with affected communities in the state.

From Plateau, the President will proceed to Lagos to observe the Good Friday holiday.

On Saturday, Tinubu will travel to Ogun State for the commissioning of the Gateway International Cargo Airport, he will also inaugurate two commercial aircraft designated for export and import operations aimed at boosting the state’s economic growth.

During the Ogun visit, the President is scheduled to inaugurate the new edifice of the Federal Operations Unit of the Nigeria Customs Service.

He will also inaugurate operational vehicles to enhance the service’s efficiency in trade facilitation and border management.

Tinubu will thereafter return to Lagos to continue the Easter holiday and undertake additional official engagements.

While in Lagos, the President is expected to commission key infrastructure projects executed by the administration of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

These include the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, and a Multi-Agency Complex named after the President.

He will also inaugurate a school complex as part of efforts to improve educational infrastructure in the state.

Before returning to Abuja, Tinubu is scheduled to visit Bayelsa on April 10 for the commissioning of projects.

The projects were completed by the administration of Gov. Duoye Diri.

The four-state tour is expected to combine condolence visits with commissioning of infrastructure projects across different sectors.
