Mr Osifo Stanley, a presidential aspirant in the 2027 general election, on Monday in Abuja, urged Nigerians to shun money bag politics if the country must move forward.

Stanley, an astute entrepreneur, said this at a news conference while declaring his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said his conviction to enhance development and deliver quality service to Nigerians, Africans and the world at large was his driving force.

He advised Nigerians to vote based on their conscience and for aspirants that could deliver on their mandates.

Stanley said that the country deserves the right leadership to harness its national and human resources in the interest of the citizens.

“I hereby declare my interest to run for the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of our party, the APC, and flag off my campaign from my Ward,” he said.

Stanley described himself as an entrepreneur and a political figure that had carved a niche for himself in the pursuit of positive ideals.

He said that he has a strong economic understanding and plan that would resuscitate and grow national and global economies.

“I am a patriotic Nigerian with passion for making Nigeria the greatest nation globally.

“I am pleased to present myself to you, my esteemed Nigerian citizens as a sincere and humble man aspiring to run for the position the office of the president of Nigeria.

“My convictions in enhancing development and delivering quality service to Nigerians, Africans and the world at large is the driving force” he said.

The aspirant noted that his campaign structure is composed of members working to provide solutions to Nigeria’s myriad of challenges.

“Our campaign is primarily focused on economy and security.

“A sound economy is the harbinger of wealth, similarly, every society seeks peaceful and harmonious living. A secured society is the foundation for sound economic structure,” he said.

The APC Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Mr Duro Meseko, recently noted that the party’s Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for all elective positions in 2027 remains open to all aspiring party members across the country.

Our correspondent reports that Meseko said this while briefing newsmen on the party’s revised 2027 election schedule and timetable.

He said that the party’s presidential primary earlier fixed for May 15 has now been rescheduled for Saturday, May 23, alongside other revised election dates.
