The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has congratulated winners of the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial primaries in Delta.

Keyamo, in a statement made available to our reporter on Tuesday in Asaba, described the primaries as the most credible and transparent conducted by the party in the state.

He congratulated Ifeanyi Okowa, Ede Dafinone and Joel-Onowakpo Thomas for emerging winners in Delta North, Delta Central and Delta South senatorial districts, respectively.

According to the minister, the victories reflected the will of party members and grassroots supporters across the state.

Keyamo said the primaries recorded impressive participation, noting that the exercise demonstrated genuine internal democracy within the party.

The minister, who identified himself as a founding member of the APC in Delta, commended party officials for conducting a peaceful process.

He urged unsuccessful aspirants to accept the outcome and work with the winners to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Keyamo also advised the victorious candidates to embrace reconciliation by accommodating former rivals and their supporters within the party structure.

“There is always strength in unity,” he said, calling for greater cooperation among party stakeholders.

He also praised Gov. Sheriff Oborevwori for what he described as inclusive leadership that has boosted the party’s prospects ahead of future elections.

Keyamo described the governor’s leadership style as exceptional and expressed confidence that the APC would secure victory in the state in 2027.

The minister further commended President Bola Tinubu for promoting internal democracy and ensuring a free and fair primary process nationwide.

According to him, the outcome of the primaries underscores the importance of consultation, loyalty and grassroots mobilisation within the APC.

Keyamo urged party members across the country to remain united and committed as preparations intensify for the 2027 general elections.
