2027: Renewed Hope Engineers ready for Tinubu’s re-election – Coordinator
The Coordinator of Renewed Hope Engineers, Dr Atinuke Owolabi, has expressed the group’s readiness to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
Owolabi, a member of the Governing Board, North Central Development Commission (NCDC), representing the South-West, said this while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Monday.
The coordinator, who is also a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, added that the group supported the All Progressives Congress (APC), following the confidence reposed in the administration of President BolaTinubu.
She said the association was fully prepared to mobilise its members and professional networks in support of the president’s policies and programmes aimed at enhancing national development.
She said the group congratulated the President on his emergence as the presidential candidate of APC, adding that the landmark victory reflected the overwhelming confidence reposed in Tinubu by party members and Nigerians.
“President BolaTinubu was picked by party members, stakeholders and Nigerians because they believe in his Renewed Hope agenda and the transformational leadership he represents.
“As engineers committed to national development, infrastructural growth, youth empowerment, and sustainable economic advancement, we strongly identify with the visionary leadership of the President and the progressive ideals of the APC.
“The engineering community across Nigeria is fully mobilised and prepared to ensure victory for President Bola Tinubu in the forthcoming general election.
“The engineering cadre in Nigeria represents a formidable professional and grassroots force with a numerical strength of over 15 million practitioners, young engineers, technologists, artisans, innovators, and allied professionals across the country.
“We are fully committed to mobilising this strength in support of President Bola Tinubu and the APC because we strongly believe in his vision for economic growth, infrastructure renewal, digital transformation, industrial development, and national prosperity.”
Owolabi further noted that Renewed Hope Engineers have already commenced strategic grassroots mobilisation, professional engagement, youth sensitisation, and campus voter registration drive.
This, she said, was across tertiary institutions to encourage active participation in the democratic process and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda.
She said the group championed several impactful initiatives under her leadership, including engineering mentorship and empowerment programmes for young professionals and female engineers, digital and technology development initiatives, among others.
Owolabi reaffirmed that engineers remained critical stakeholders in nation-building and pledged continuous support towards policies and programmes that prioritise development in all sectors.
