Headies 18th edition scheduled details for June 15, draws reactions

The organisers of the Headies have scheduled June 15 for the release of details on its 18th edition, drawing reactions from fans and stakeholders within Nigeria’s music industry.

Our correspondent reports that the awards, widely recognised as one of Nigeria’s leading music platforms, has continued to generate reactions online, with fans expressing expectations ahead of the unveiling.

The Headies, established in 2006, is one of Nigeria’s leading music award platforms and has previously held editions in the United States, including New York.

The 17th edition of the awards was held in Lagos in April 2025 after previous editions were staged in the United States.
