The lawmaker representing the Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Remi Oseni, says the reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu have started yielding positive results.

Oseni stated this while addressing traders and supporters during a stakeholders’ meeting held on Tuesday in Ibadan.

According to him, although Nigeria may not yet have attained full economic recovery, the President has recorded significant improvements across various sectors of the economy.

He said early indicators were already reflecting stronger economic performance and renewed investor confidence.

The lawmaker urged Nigerians to remain hopeful of greater transformation during the President’s second term in office.

Oseni, who is the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Oyo South Senatorial District, described the meeting as a strategic move aimed at strengthening the party’s structures and mapping out plans to secure victory through effective grassroots mobilisation across the district.

He added that the gathering also provided an opportunity to discuss the needs and concerns of residents, particularly traders, as well as issues affecting the party within the district and Oyo state at large.

“We decided to meet our traders in marketplaces under the Oyo South Senatorial District to engage them on ways to improve their welfare.

“We also discussed how to mitigate the challenges they are currently facing as individuals and as leaders in the marketplaces.

“The meeting is to acquaint traders with our intention to deliver one million votes for the President, a message I have consistently preached over the last three years.

“Our message is consistent, deliberate and intentional,” he said.

Oseni said the party remained committed to ensuring that the dividends of democracy were delivered to the people of the state and the country at large.

The lawmaker said the wellbeing of his constituents remained paramount, stressing the need for continued commitment toward ensuring victory for the party in the 2027 general elections.

“The reforms introduced by the President may appear slow, but those who understand how government works will appreciate that much has been achieved.

“In education, we now have students’ loans and other laudable reforms that have opened up the admission process and improved students’ enrolment.

“Another important area is tax reform.

“The removal of fuel subsidy has also made more funds available to governors across states to pay salaries promptly and execute projects.

“We also have free cancer screening and subsidised treatment initiatives under the health sector reforms, as well as the distribution of agricultural inputs to farmers, among others,” he said.

Oseni said the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda was intentional and already yielding the desired results.

He further called for sustained unity and active participation among party members, urging stakeholders to continue engaging at the grassroots level to consolidate support for the administration ahead of the 2027 elections.
