NABTEB concludes 2026 FTC placement, opens admission process for successful candidates

Dr Mohammed Mohammed, The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), has announced the successful conclusion of the 2026 selection and placement exercise into Federal Technical Colleges (FTCs).

‎The Chief registrar disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday, noting that the exercise followed the successful conduct and release of the results of the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) held on June 13.

‎He also directed candidates to check their admissions status and commence registration.

‎Mohammed said the exercise, conducted in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education (FME) and principals of Federal Technical Colleges, marked another milestone in the Federal Government Colleges.

‎He said that, the drive would help to strengthen technical and vocational education through a transparent and merit-based admission process.

‎He explained that the selection and placement process was carried out strictly in accordance with the approved admission guidelines to ensure fairness, transparency and equal opportunities for qualified candidates seeking admission into Federal Technical Colleges across the country.

‎Mohammed directed candidates who participated in the 2026 NCEE to check their admission status on the NABTEB website by visiting www.nabteb.gov.ng, navigating to the Media Centre and clicking on FTC Admission Status.

‎According to him, candidates who are unable to access the online platform can also confirm their admission status at NABTEB offices in the 36 states, the six geo-political zones and the board’s national headquarters in Benin, Edo.

‎The Chief registrar said successful candidates should visit the NABTEB e-world portal on Friday, July 24, to print their notification of admission slips.

‎He explained that the notification slip would serve as the official document required for candidates to proceed to their respective Federal Technical Colleges to obtain their admission letters.

‎Mohammed urged admitted candidates to complete all registration formalities within the stipulated period to secure their admission and avoid forfeiting their placements.

‎He congratulated all successful candidates, describing their admission as the beginning of a journey toward acquiring practical, industry-relevant skills that would enhance their employability and contribute to national development.

‎He encouraged parents and guardians to support their wards in taking advantage of the opportunities offered by Federal Technical Colleges, noting that technical and vocational education remains critical to Nigeria’s industrial growth and economic transformation.

‎He reaffirmed NABTEB’s commitment to working with the Federal Ministry of Education and other stakeholders to promote quality, transparency and excellence in technical and vocational education through a credible and merit-driven admission process into Federal Technical Colleges.
