Police recover stolen car in Warri
The Police Command in Delta, say it has recovered a Toyota Corolla car stolen in Warri.
Spokesman for the command, SP Bright Edafe disclosed this to newsmen on Friday in Warri.
Edafe said that the stolen vehicle was recovered on Thursday by police operatives attached to the “A division” Warri.
He said that the operatives received a report on the stolen vehicle and promptly mobilised to ensure it’s recovery.
“On Aug. 13, operatives of the ‘A’ Division, Warri, received a report that an ash-coloured 2003 Toyota Corolla car was stolen from where it was parked at Awani Close, Ajamimogha, Warri.
“Detectives of the division immediately commenced a coordinated operation in conjunction with the Dragon Patrol Team.
“The coordinated operation led to the recovery of the vehicle parked on the Winners Church Road, Ughelli, barely two hours, after the report was received,” he said.
Edafe said that efforts were on top gear to identify and apprehend the suspects linked to the crime.
He said that the Commissioner of Police in charge of the command, Mr Yemi Oyeniyi, commended the operatives for their prompt response.
Edafe added that the commissioner urged officers across the command to sustain the momentum through proactive and intelligence-led policing.
He also said that the police boss urged residents to remain vigilant and promptly provide the police with credible information on suspicious persons and activities in their domain.
