Toyin Abraham’s ‘Bestie’ hits cinemas December
Award-winning Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham, has announced her new movie, ‘Bestie,’ scheduled to hit cinemas on Dec. 16.
Abraham announced the project in a video shared on her verified Instagram page, @toyin_abraham, featuring highlights from some of her previous movies before unveiling ‘Bestie’ as her latest project.
The upcoming film carries the tagline, “Besties by choice, strangers by betrayal.”
The announcement comes as Abraham continues to build on her career as an actress, producer and filmmaker, with several of her productions achieving notable success at the Nigerian box office.
It was reported that her previous films include ‘Alakada Reloaded,’ ‘The Ghost and the Tout,’ ‘The Ghost and the Tout Too,’
Other are: ‘Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper,’ ‘Malaika’ and ‘Alakada: Bad and Boujee.’
Abraham also made her directorial debut with ‘Oversabi Aunty,’ which became the first Nollywood directorial debut to surpass the ₦1 billion mark at the box office.
‘Bestie’ is expected to continue Abraham’s run of cinema releases as she brings another production to Nigerian audiences.
