2027: Tinubu re-election group inaugurates national, zonal coordinators
The Asiwaju Re-election Frontiers (ARF), a political support group, has inaugurated its national and zonal coordinators to strengthen mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The National Coordinator of ARF and South-West Coordinator, Amb. Olasimbo Akinyele, said this at a news conference on Monday in Abuja.
Akinyele said the group would build a coordinated nationwide support network through grassroots engagement, stakeholder collaboration and peaceful political participation.
He said the group supported Tinubu’s re-election to enable his administration to continue implementing its policies and reform agenda.
He, however, acknowledged challenges facing Nigerians, including the rising cost of living, unemployment, insecurity and the need for improved public services.
According to him, political discussions should prioritise these concerns, while government reforms must translate into tangible improvements in citizens’ lives.
Akinyele said the group would promote informed public discussions on the administration’s policies, achievements, challenges and priorities.
He said the inauguration would strengthen the group’s structures across the six geopolitical zones, with zonal coordinators expected to engage political stakeholders, coordinate state structures and expand grassroots mobilisation.
The inaugurated zonal coordinators are Comrade Malcolm Adakole, North-Central; Kachalla Mohammed, North-East; Abubakar Muhammed, North-West; Mrs Juliet Benson, South-East; Abel Asuquo, South-South; and Akinyele, South-West.
He said the coordinators were expected to demonstrate commitment, accountability and organisational competence while promoting unity among members.
Akinyele listed nationwide mobilisation, policy communication, organisational discipline, peaceful democratic participation and increased involvement of women and young people among the group’s priorities ahead of the 2027 general election.
He said ARF would collaborate with community leaders, traditional institutions, youth organisations, women, professionals and other stakeholders to expand its reach.
The coordinator pledged that the group would operate within the Constitution and applicable electoral laws, respect other political actors and reject political violence.
He urged members and supporters to promote the group’s objectives through factual communication, constructive dialogue and peaceful participation in the democratic process.
Akinyele also called on political stakeholders and groups with similar objectives to collaborate with ARF, saying its credibility would depend on effective leadership, discipline and responsiveness to citizens’ concerns.
He said the inauguration marked a new phase in the group’s efforts to strengthen its structures and mobilise support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
