Leadway Assurance has been named the official insurer of the 2026 Lagos International Trade Fair for the second consecutive year.

The ‌‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‌‌company disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, saying the partnership would enable it to provide insurance solutions and advisory services to exhibitors and visitors.

The 10-day fair, organised by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), will hold at Tafawa Balewa Square, Onikan, Lagos, from Nov. 6 to Nov. 15.

Mrs Kikelomo Fischer, Executive Director, Retail and Partnerships, Leadway Assurance, said the renewed partnership demonstrated the company’s commitment to supporting and protecting businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Fischer said the fair provided an opportunity to engage entrepreneurs, buyers and investors while raising awareness about the importance of insurance protection for businesses.

She said the company would also use the platform to understand challenges facing business owners and provide insurance products suited to their needs.

“At Leadway Assurance, we have a deep belief in the power of enterprise, especially small and growing businesses, the engine of the Nigerian economy, who duly deserve partners that stand with them as they build.

“Returning as Official Insurer of the Lagos International Trade Fair for a second year clearly shows how invested we are in the growth of SMEs.

“The fair brings thousands of entrepreneurs, buyers and investors together, and we are proud to protect that ambition while helping businesses understand how the right cover safeguards their goods, their people and their future.

“Our presence at the fair gives us a platform to engage and listen to thousands of business owners and customers, each with unique pain points.

“That insight allows us to develop products tailored to their needs,” she said.

Fischer noted that appropriate insurance cover could help businesses protect their goods, employees and investments against unforeseen risks.

She said Leadway’s support for SMEs extended beyond the trade fair through initiatives aimed at improving their visibility and business opportunities.

According to her, one of the initiatives is the Leadway Media Dash, which provides SMEs with free media visibility and promotional support to reach potential customers.

She said the initiative also led to the Leadway Lifestyle Fair, which brought together 100 SMEs and more than 10,000 visitors.

She said the event provided participating businesses with opportunities to increase sales and establish new customer connections.
