Downpour: FRSC cautions against ‘one-way’ driving

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, has advised motorists to exercise patience and desist from driving against flow of traffic especially on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The Sector Commander, Mr Oludare Ogunjobi, gave the advice in an interview with our on Tuesday at Ota in Ogun.

Ogunjobi said that flooding of the expressway by heavy rainfall on Tuesday caused some motorists to drive against traffic, resulting in gridlocked.

“The FRSC is appealing to motorists to be patient, reduce speed and avoid driving against the flow of traffic,” he said.
Ogunjobi said that impatience and flouting of traffic rules would compound traffic situations.

He said that FRSC officers and other traffic managers were on ground to control traffic on the expressway and restore normalcy.
