2027: Orelope-Adefulire drums support for Tinubu, Hamzat

Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire,a former deputy governor of Lagos State, has urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and residents of the state to rally behind President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.

She also called for support for the aspiration of the Lagos APC governorship candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat,ahead of 2027.

Orelope-Adefulire made the call in an interview with our correspondent in Lagos on Thursday.

The former deputy governor said that Tinubu-led administration had laid a solid foundation for national development.

She described Hamzat as a man experience, competence,saying he possessed the leadership qualities required to sustain the state’s development strides.

“President Tinubu has demonstrated courageous and visionary leadership through bold reforms aimed at repositioning Nigeria for sustainable growth.

“Also , Hamzat has consistently shown competence, loyalty and unwavering commitment to the progress of Lagos State,” she said.

She said that Hamzat was a seasoned administrator, adding his years of service in government had prepared him to consolidate on the achievements of successive APC administrations in the state.

“Hamzat understands the needs and aspirations of Lagosians. His experience, humility and dedication to public service make him the right person to lead Lagos to greater heights,” she said.

According to her, the APC has continued to distinguish itself through impactful governance, infrastructural development, economic growth and people-oriented policies.

“The party has earned the confidence of the people through consistent delivery of democratic dividends, and I urge Lagos residents to sustain their support for APC at all levels,” she added.

She called on party leaders, stakeholders and supporters to remain united and committed throughout the electoral process.

Adefulire said that unity remained the party’s greatest strength.

“Victory is assured when we remain focused, united and committed to our collective vision of building a greater Lagos and a more prosperous Nigeria,” she said.

Orelope-Adefulire urged eligible Nigerians to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and actively participate in the forthcoming general election.

“Every eligible citizen has a responsibility to vote and contribute to strengthening our democracy by supporting credible and capable leaders,” she said.

She expressed confidence that Tinubu would secure a second term in office and that Hamzat would emerge victorious in the governorship election.

“I have no doubt that President Tinubu will continue to reposition Nigeria, while Hamzat will make Lagos proud by building on the state’s enduring legacy of excellence and progress,” she said.
