Real Warri Pikin wins award at AFRIMMA 2026
Nigerian comedian Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has won the Best Stand-Up Comedian award at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA).
Asuoha announced the feat on her official Instagram page on Sunday following the awards ceremony held in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday.
The post reads: “We won #afrimma Best Stand-up Comedian 2026.”
Asuoha emerged winner ahead of fellow Nigerians Basketmouth, Bovi and Godfrey, as well as Kenyan comedians Eric Omondi and Ty Ngachira. Other nominees in the category included South African comedian Trevor Noah and Ugandan comedian Patrick “Salvado” Idringi.
It was reported that AFRIMMA is an annual awards platform that celebrates African music, artistes and other creative talents across the continent and in the diaspora.
The award adds to Asuoha’s growing recognition as one of Nigeria’s prominent female comedians, with a career spanning stand-up comedy, acting, digital content creation and live entertainment.
Popularly known for her energetic performances, humour and distinctive use of Nigerian Pidgin, Asuoha has built a strong following in Nigeria and among African audiences in the diaspora.
She has also featured in Nollywood productions and created comedy and entertainment content while performing at major comedy shows and events in Nigeria and abroad.
The comedian has also taken her comedy performances beyond Nigeria, appearing at events in countries including Ghana, Senegal, the United States and the United Kingdom.
