44 vessels to arrive Lagos ports with petroleum products, food, others – NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says 44 ships carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected at the Apapa, Lekki Deep Sea and Tin Can Island ports in Lagos on Friday.

The NPA, which on Friday disclosed this on its Daily Shipping Position, said the vessel were expected between Sept. 25 and Oct. 8.

It said 15 of the expected ships were carrying containers of various goods, while five were carrying aviation fuel.

It added that the remaining 29 ships were expected to berth with crude oil, diesel, general cargo, aviation fuel, bulk gas, steel, repair boats, bulk urea and bulk clinker.

Meanwhile, the NPA noted that five ships and tanker vessels had arrived at the three ports waiting to berth with bulk urea, stock and petrol.

It also stated that 19 ships were presently discharging containers, fresh fish, general cargo, bulk urea, bulk sugar, bulk salt, aviation, bulk gas, bulk gypsum and petrol at Lekki Deep Sea Port, Apapa and Tincan Island port.
